Inaugurated in 1981 by the then British Prime Minister Rt. Hon'ble Margaret Thatcher, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan's S. P. Jain Institute of Management and Research (SPJIMR) has moved from strength to strength due to its innovative pedagogic approach and its ability to adapt to the changing business environment. SPJIMR, a premier institute, is not affiliated to any university and is completely autonomous. Eligibility Criteria:

Minimum 3 years of Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized University in India or abroad.

The PGDM intake is 120 students

Test Accepted: CAT, XAT or GMAT. The minimum score required to get the final offer is 85 percentile in CAT2007/XAT2008 or a score of 680 in GMAT taken in 2007.

Fees - Program fee is Rs. 4 lakhs (for PGDM 2007-2009).

Institute Facts (Infra, Activities etc.)

The PGDM Programme comprises of a foundation module followed by six trimesters spread over two academic years. The first year curriculum aims to strengthen the fundamentals in all areas of functional management and provides a holistic perspective of general management. The second year specialisation provides inputs in the chosen area of specialisation and is customized to the student's career focus and industry requirements.

The focal point of the Institute, the well-stocked and fully computerized library offers 27 different types of learning media. It has more than 18,000 books including the latest management books, more than 150 foreign and Indian business journals and periodicals, audio-video cassettes and CD-ROMs.

All students are provided with laptops, which facilitate learning at the time and pace of the student. It has also helped students to submit their assignments online. The institute has installed network printers in the Institute as well as the hostels.

SPJIMR already has formal collaborations with one EuropeanUniversity and one US University and are in the process of finalizing collaborations with one Belgian and some more of the top thirty American Universities.

Reply

The participant will need to apply online and pay the application processing fee either through DD, Net banking or credit card. He/she can select a date for the interview process from the pre-determined interview schedule. Interviews will be held at our campus in Mumbai.

The admission process comprises of the following rounds:

  • An online general aptitude test

  • Two rounds of interviews with two separate panels comprising of senior faculty. Participants will be required to make a brief  presentation (of about 20 minutes) regarding their business and future plans. These rounds will comprise of interviews with both the participant and his mentor, to assess the participant’s suitability for the programme

  • Review of the assessments of the two panels by the Programme Head and Centre Head

  • Sending out of Call/ Rejection letters 

Participants desirous of joining the programme will have to pay the fees as per the fee schedule. If for some reason, the participant is unable to join the given batch, he/she may indicate the decision to join the programme in the following batch. The Institute’s decision in this regard shall be final and binding.
